When I am not working in my home office where I enjoy a lax dress code and easy access to snacks and obnoxious music, I am photographing families, kids, couples, and other groups of people who, for whatever reason, kind of like each other. I have been thrilled to have my portrait work featured in People Magazine, Us Weekly, as collateral for musicians and other artists, in the VVCF UnDressed Calendar (2008, 2009, 2010), on national television, and most importantly, in the personal galleries of clients across the country.
Then there was this time I co-wrote and photographed a book. I didn’t intend to ever brag about it, but it was exhausting for us to create, so I try to work it into conversation when I can.
And sometimes I make chairs, but that’s really beside the point.
I also enjoy natural light, belly laughs, toothy smiles, rearranging furniture, meals that don’t revolve around chicken nuggets, and sleeping through the night. And coffee. Lots and lots of coffee.
Each day I come home to two blue-eyed boys who tend to be quite loud and crazy, a really fat dog and two fairly demanding cats….....
